Our Story

The Bangladesh Development Center in Germany (BEZ) was founded on December 16, 1990, at a general meeting at Theodor-Heuß-Str. 11, 3400 Göttingen, Germany, and registered with the Bremen District Court. The registration number is VR 4789 HB. The association is based in Bremen, Germany. It pursues exclusively and directly non-profit purposes. The association operates selflessly. The association promotes socio-economic development in Bangladesh.

BEZ is committed to combating poverty and improving the quality of life of the people of Bangladesh by providing decisive impetus for the country’s development through education, outreach, and advanced technical research, as well as global cooperation.

Work

BEZ is a non-profit organization operating independently of political parties.

We have already successfully implemented numerous projects, including:

  • Promoting production-related projects in the skilled trades and agriculture.
  • Supporting initiatives in vocational training and healthcare.
  • Our current focus is on empowering women through targeted vocational training measures and supporting micro-enterprise start-ups.
